The Gym Membership

Took up a gym membership with True Fitness.

It’s one of those plans that you have, just that you never really go about ‘walking the talk’.

This has always been at the back of my mind and finally this year, I put my words into action.

A colleague, Christine, was the one jio-ed me to sign up. I was attracted by the Pilates and Hot Yoga classes. My kneecaps are in a bad shape and I heard that Yoga helps.

Oh well.. we shall see =)

Trip to Taiwan

Damn! I need to start writing again!

So I went to Taiwan for a short getaway! It was great to visit that country again. I’m suffering from minor (food) withdrawal symptoms. The street snacks are fantastic. Night Market and Wu Fen Pu are still as interesting. Not to forget the 24 hours convenience store, which sells food/drinks/whatever at the usual price without charging extra like how they do it over here in Singapore.

It was pretty much of a shop and eat trip, without much sightseeing as one of the cousins had warned us beforehand that she’s not interested to climb up a mountain early in morning to catch the sunrise, no matter how beautiful the sunrise is, when we were planning the itinerary.

We escaped from the city on the second last day and went to Jiu Fen and Shi Fen! Thankfully, the weather wasn’t a bitch! The pictures are all on my Facebook and some are in my Instagram. I’m just too lazy to post them here. Check them out there.

I feel that it’s always good to visit other places and you will grow to appreciate what you have here in Singapore more. No natural disaster, relatively a safe country to live in, cheap hawker foods, the only place where you will get your money cheated is most probably in Sim Lim Square?  And oh, Newton Circus Hawker Center!

I will definitely go back Taiwan again…

For the food…

And the Milk Tea =)

Impromptu Draft

An impromptu draft session with the cousins yester-night!

We decided to add in booster packs from Return to Ravnica and Gate Crush to add in more flavour as just drafting Dragon Maze alone is quite hard to play.

And I won!

The winner gets to choose cards from the piles of rares first! And I took Stomping Ground and Vraska.

A good win for me =)

‘Spoils’ from Korea

Natalie went to Korea recently and I got her to help me get CnBlue 4th Mini Album if it’s cheap.

I thought that this album is worth keeping as the songs are nice.

And can you believe it only cost S$12? That’s dirt cheap! I won’t be getting any Korea CDs in Singapore anymore. Will just get friends who be travelling to Korea to help me buy =)

Try listening to Coffeeshop and I’m Sorry!

While over there, she whatsapp to inform that she has a surprise for me. Honestly, I don’t have a clue to that. What can possibly surprised me.

Taeyang’s First Album.

It’s only less than S$10 over there and it’s not even a bootleg copy!

I like Taeyang because of his dance. Feels that after Micheal Jackson, he’s the next best dancer. And he’s vocally good too!

One of his songs, Where U At, never fails to kickstart my day! =)

Selesnya Cards from Dragon Maze

Okay! I managed to get the 2 Rares which I want from this set =)

The above is an addition to Armada Wurm (which I also have) .

The below card is listed as a $39.99 USD card online.

I don’t know how much is this selling in Singapore. I be adding it to my Selesnya deck =)

CnBlue Blue Moon Concert 2013

The first time I know about CnBlue is during the time I watched my very first episode of Running Man @ Ivy’s house. Back then, I couldn’t understand why Natalie is (literally) going crazy about Jung Yong-Hwa and what’s wrong with the others and their addiction to Running Man?

Thanks to that Hong Kong Special episode of Running Man, I get to know more about Korea.

A few weeks ago, Natalie informed me that CnBlue be having their first world tour and be stopping by Singapore to hold a 1 night only concert.

Since their music is good and I didn’t get to travel to Korea this year, I thought, why not!

Which explains why I woke up @ 8 this morning to get ready to reach Singapore Indoor Stadium by 11am to meet with the 2 womans to Q for our wrist tag.

My initial plan was to go for sit back and enjoy. However, Natalie said something about you will stand up and groove to the music/songs and since we are already going, why not pay more for good view and an overall great experience. Needless to say, I was sold -_-”

They only started to distribute the wrist tag at 1 pm! After that, I decided to go home to take a break before making my way back by 5pm to join in the Q – This time is to get a better view at the Pent area.

The concert was AWESOME!

It was a fantastic experience. I get to hear them sing some of my favorites LIVE! Bravo! =)

Hot Pot Buffet

I’m not a huge fan of buffet these days. Mainly because my appetite is no longer as huge as before. Not sure is it due to the fact that age is catching up or it’s because I go for ‘just nice’ and not ‘fucking full’.

Still, I will oblige if my friends ask me along. Coz I believe in not for the food, but for the company =)

Natalie, Silvia, Puiling and I used to work in M1 together. I always cherish friendship because I strongly feels that they are the people who share and be able relate to that phase in your life that no one else can.

Don’t shoot me down but I really forget the name of this shop! It’s in Causeway Point. I just remember that the MEATS are marvellous! Yup! It’s a buffet, so you can ask for rounds and rounds of meat! There’s also a counter, with a variety of vegetables for the leafs lovers!

It was a wonderful experience for me. Considering the fact that I’m not a huge Jap food lover ( Come on! I only grow to like Sashimi recently ).

13th of April is coming and together with Silvia and Natalie, we will be going to watch the CnBlue concert.

With Robert Langdon in Italy this May

I’ll be joining Robert Langdon on his upcoming adventure in Italy this May!

I’m referring to Dan Brown’s latest book, ‘Inferno’ to be launched on the 14th of May.

2 of my cousins recommended me to the Da Vinci Code and I was hooked onto it, sacrificing my sleep just to read another chapter.

After that, I went onto Angels and Demons which is, by right, the first book in the series.

The 3rd book, ‘The Lost Symbol’ was a Christmas Gift from Shirmaine 2 years ago. She’s the only person I do gift exchange with, for the fun of it! We will usually inform the other person what to get first. Hahaha…

This book comes at the right time. I’ll be bringing it to read on my flight to Taiwan… Provided I can resist myself from finishing it before my trip =)

Patricia’s Wedding

Together with Chew Li, Cui Ling, Shaoya and Sherlyn, we attended Patricia’s wedding yester-evening. She gave me an ‘You must be there’ kind of invitation. We were the only 5 lucky ones to be invited out of the whole Secondary School gang.

The wedding dinner was held @ Park Hotel!

My first time there!

Dinner was good and I was blown away by the dessert!

Yes! I know it looks like I’m eating Fish n Chips. However, that’s not the case! It’s actually durian inside! Interesting, ain’t it?

I shamelessly took the Bride’s bouquet of flowers… Haha =)
