Dream:
I was with an elder sister (no such person in real life though) at an event filled with many guests. Many rich people, to be exact. We bumped into a very well-dressed lady whom we know, but she’s the type who looks down on poorer people. She scoffed upon seeing us at the event, passed us a bag of food and waved us away.
We were in our car, driving on a long straight road during the night. Suddenly, all cars around us stopped so we were made to stop as well. Everyone stepped out of their cars to find out what’s going on. Out of nowhere, a HUGE lion came, one that was almost as tall as the trees around. It grabbed this husband and wife couple and ate them. My elder sister and I tried to hide the couple’s young daughter from the lion. It became day time. We hid in the shadows cast down by shrubs. The young girl couldn’t stop whimpering and shivering as she was very scared, and didn’t manage to hide in time in the shadows. She got dragged away by the lion. We escaped because we hid in the shadows.
We sought refuge at my elder sister’s friend’s place. The entrance of his house was like that of an old-fashioned elevator, which came with a gate/fence.It’s a small but well-equipped house. There were two other ladies as well, apart from the man. We happily shared with them the bag of food which Lady Snob passed to us.
I was in the air, looking down at a jetty. A tall white-colored super yacht maneuvered into one of the columns, knocking into some other small boats that were parked around.
(The top of the yacht resembled that in the first image, while the design for the bottom part looked like the one in the second image.)
There’s a tall barren building, one with all the sides uncovered throughout all the floors. It was used for random purposes, for example a tidbits stall and a place that looked like a police station. There were bunches of people here and there. Without warning, the huge lion appeared again. It caused total chaos and everyone tried to run away from it. I kept running down long flights of stairs that didn’t have any side railings at all, which was right smacked in the middle.
(Similar to the one pictured, minus the supports.)Apart from the lion, there were other men chasing me too. I ran, and ran, and ran. There were lots of banging doors, screams, shouts, and even fires.
I was brought back to my elder sister’s friend’s place. The whole floor was filled with white melted wax. Some of the candles still had a flicker of flame, while others seemed to die out long ago. There were even white skulls made of wax material scattered around. I came across this pool of milk-like substance. Someone’s face rose from within it and gasping for air. It was my elder sister. I turned around, and the melted wax was gone. There were no pursuers as well.
I switched on the radio. The news broadcaster was talking about a case that happened in the early 19th century, of a huge lion that went on a killing rampage and fed on 99 humans. It felt like just yesterday when I encountered the lion.
I realised I time-travelled. And I woke up.
Interpretation (of key points):
Lion
“To dream of a lion symbolizes power, physical strength, and aggressive behavior. This indicates that you are able to control and manage your emotions with ease. Often referred to as the ‘King of the Jungle,’ lions represent royalty, influence, and dominion over everyone. You must exercise self-control in all aspects of your life.
To dream that you are attacked by a lion means that you have many problems to solve. Defy negative emotions that will cause your downfall.”

I do have some problems that require much solving, which might have taken a toil on my self-confidence.
Gate
“To see or pass through a gate in your dream suggests that you are walking through a new phase of life. It also represents new opportunities and possibilities, especially if the gate is opened or swinging.”

New phase indeed! May new awesome opportunities and possibilities come my way…..
Apartment
“To dream about an apartment refers to your financial or emotional state. To dream of a large and lavish apartment means that you are headed in the right direction in life. Things will improve for you. To dream of a rundown or messy apartment indicates some financial or emotional turmoil in your life.”
(Source: http://dreammoods.com/cgibin/dreamdictionarysearch.pl?method=exact&header=dreamsymbol&search=apartment)
It wasn’t large nor lavish. Indeed with regards to financial woes in my life now.
Yacht
“To see a yacht in your dream symbolizes wealth, pleasure, and luxury. You are free of worry and in pursuit of a life of ease. You want to devote more time to recreational pursuits. Just take it easy for a while.“
(Source: http://dreammoods.com/cgibin/dreamdictionarysearch.pl?method=exact&header=dreamsymbol&search=yacht)
Can’t take it easy for now! But yes I am in pursuit of a life of ease with no worries on any aspect in life.
Building
“To dream of a building symbolizes your physical being. Your state of comprehension is indicated by which floor of the building you are on. If you are in the lower levels of the building, the dream reflects your base desires, sexual wants and needs.
To see a ruined or damaged building implies that you need to tackle a problem or issue in a different method. Your current system is proving to be unsuccessful. You must make major alterations. Perhaps your ego has been damaged.”
(Source: http://www.dreamforth.com/search.php?query=building&type=dreams&page=1#.UyxpCbBsLIU)
The building I saw was on the verge of being in ruins. Need to think of what the problem or issue is which I’ve been handling it wrong all along.
Staircase
“To see a staircase in your dream symbolizes change and transformation.
To dream of an incomplete staircase or steps missing from the staircase implies that you are trying to move on to the next phase or stage without accomplishing all the necessary steps. You are trying to take shortcuts.”
(Source: http://dreammoods.com/cgibin/dreamdictionarysearch.pl?method=exact&header=dreamsymbol&search=staircase)
Does it count as an incomplete staircase with the supports missing? Rather true that I’m trying to do away with some steps in order to achieve what I want in a shorter span of time.
Chase
“To dream that you are being chased signifies that you are avoiding a situation that you do not think is conquerable. It is a metaphor for some form of insecurity. In particular, to dream that you are chased by an animal represents your own unexpressed and unacknowledged anger which is being projected onto that animal. Alternatively, you may be running away from a primal urge or fear.”
(Source: http://dreammoods.com/cgibin/dreamdictionarysearch.pl?method=exact&header=dreamsymbol&search=chase)
My unexpressed and unacknowledged anger must be huge, judging by how big the lion in my dream was. I guess I do feel insecure most of the time.
Candle
“To dream of a burning candle represents gradual and constant future prosperity, wealth, or happiness. You are satisfied with your position and situation. Perhaps you are searching for inner peace. Lit candles can also represent wisdom, knowledge, and honesty.
To see an unlit candle can indicate that you have fears of failure and not being accepted by your peers. You need to be trying your hardest to achieve your goals, rather than making only feeble attempts.”
(Source: http://www.dreamforth.com/search.php?query=Candle&type=dreams&page=1#.UyxtpLBsLIU)
There were both lit and unlit ones in my dream. Quite applicable if a mixture of both context.
Candle Wax
“To see candle wax in your dream indicates that there is too much activity going on in your life. You may need to slow down and take a breather. Alternatively, it may symbolize the passage of time.“
(Source: http://dreammoods.com/cgibin/dreamdictionarysearch.pl?method=exact&header=dreamsymbol&search=wax)
Not exactly that much activity yet, but quite a bit of stuff to handle, since it covered almost the whole floor in my dream.
Sister
“If you do not have a sister and dream that you have one, then it signifies feminine qualities that you need to activate or acknowledge within your own self. Pay attention to the actions and behavior of your dream sister.“
(Source: http://dreammoods.com/cgibin/dreamdictionarysearch.pl?method=exact&header=dreamsymbol&search=sister)
Does it mean I’m not feminine enough??? Point noted. Will work on that aspect.
Time Travel
“To dream about time travel indicates your wish to escape from your present reality. You want to go back into the past or jump forward to the future to a period where your hopes are realized. This dream also represents your romantic tendency and or your desire to romanticize everything.”
(Source: http://dreammoods.com/cgibin/dreamdictionarysearch.pl?method=exact&header=dreamsymbol&search=time+travel)
True. True. And true.
Conclusion:
I’ve the desire to skip steps and fast-forward to a future with my hopes already realised, having a life of ease, but I can’t be making only feeble attempts. It’s taken a toil on me, financially and mentally, causing lots of unexpressed and unacknowledged anger within me. Once I activate or acknowledge the feminine qualities with my own self, I will be more confident and new opportunities and possibilities will come my way.
