{"id":401,"date":"2013-08-12T00:01:44","date_gmt":"2013-08-12T00:01:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cycliclapse.com\/speak\/ving\/?p=401"},"modified":"2013-08-19T11:14:54","modified_gmt":"2013-08-19T11:14:54","slug":"hongkong-2013-part-1-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cycliclapse.com\/speak\/ving\/2013\/08\/12\/hongkong-2013-part-1-2\/","title":{"rendered":".hongkong.2013.(.part.1.)."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>http:\/\/youtu.be\/KNpb8ECLzFE<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/cycliclapse.com\/speak\/ving\/files\/2013\/07\/IMG-20130812-01714.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cycliclapse.com\/speak\/ving\/files\/2013\/07\/IMG-20130812-01714-1024x790.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"450\" \/><\/a>Ving recently had a trip to Hong Kong!!<br \/>\nHere&#8217;s a bunch of cheery vegetables welcoming us at the departure hall.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/cycliclapse.com\/speak\/ving\/files\/2013\/07\/IMG-20130627-01340.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cycliclapse.com\/speak\/ving\/files\/2013\/07\/IMG-20130627-01340-1024x745.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"424\" \/><\/a>One of my travelling companions!<br \/>\nWe got our air tickets at quite a steal, less than a month prior to this trip.<br \/>\nPlus, the flight timing was kinda sh***y and exhausted us out (departed at 1+am, reached Hong Kong at 5+am).<br \/>\nBut that also meant we got to spend more time in Hong Kong!!<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/cycliclapse.com\/speak\/ving\/files\/2013\/07\/IMG-20130628-01342.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cycliclapse.com\/speak\/ving\/files\/2013\/07\/IMG-20130628-01342-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"438\" \/><\/a>Reached Hong Kong!!!<br \/>\nThis was taken while on board the Airport Express to City area.<br \/>\nHad to wait till past 6am before the Airport Express commenced operations.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/cycliclapse.com\/speak\/ving\/files\/2013\/07\/IMG-20130628-01344.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cycliclapse.com\/speak\/ving\/files\/2013\/07\/IMG-20130628-01344-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"438\" \/><\/a>It was only about 7+am by the time we reached our hotel, <strong>Holiday Inn Express @ SOHO<\/strong> (Address: 83 Jervois Street, Sheung Wan).<br \/>\nStill too early for check-in, we decided to go for our first breakfast in Hong Kong at <strong>Lin Heung Tea House<\/strong>, which is about a 10-15mins walk from the hotel.<\/p>\n<p>Address: 160-164 Wellington Street, G\/F, Central<br \/>\nStation : Sheung Wan (Exit E2)<br \/>\nHours : Daily 6am \u2013 11pm<br \/>\nContact: (852) 2544-4556<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/cycliclapse.com\/speak\/ving\/files\/2013\/07\/IMG-20130628-01348.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cycliclapse.com\/speak\/ving\/files\/2013\/07\/IMG-20130628-01348-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"778\" \/><\/a>Being one of the oldest Hong Kong style restaurants around, it has an unmediated slice of old Hong Kong in it.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/cycliclapse.com\/speak\/ving\/files\/2013\/07\/IMG-20130703-WA014.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cycliclapse.com\/speak\/ving\/files\/2013\/07\/IMG-20130703-WA014.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"478\" \/><\/a>We had to share a table with couple of other uncles and aunties, as the tea house was packed at the time in which we were there.<br \/>\nWe were even mistaken to be Japanese students (must be &#8216;cos of our sans-makeup faces hahaha).<br \/>\nIt cost about HKD70+ (approximately S$12) for the 3 dim sum dishes which we had.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/cycliclapse.com\/speak\/ving\/files\/2013\/07\/IMG-20130703-WA010.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cycliclapse.com\/speak\/ving\/files\/2013\/07\/IMG-20130703-WA010-300x224.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"251\" height=\"190\" \/><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/cycliclapse.com\/speak\/ving\/files\/2013\/07\/IMG-20130703-WA013.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cycliclapse.com\/speak\/ving\/files\/2013\/07\/IMG-20130703-WA013-300x224.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"248\" height=\"188\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/cycliclapse.com\/speak\/ving\/files\/2013\/07\/IMG-20130628-01346.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cycliclapse.com\/speak\/ving\/files\/2013\/07\/IMG-20130628-01346-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"438\" \/><\/a>There were 2 of such bulletin boards outside the tea house, filled with very old and faded pictures related to the tea house.<br \/>\nSuch retro feel! *like*<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/cycliclapse.com\/speak\/ving\/files\/2013\/07\/IMG-20130628-01350.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cycliclapse.com\/speak\/ving\/files\/2013\/07\/IMG-20130628-01350-713x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"838\" \/><\/a>Part 2 of our breakfast!<br \/>\nWe went to check out <strong>Lan Fong Yuen Hong Kong Cafe<\/strong> which was about a 5mins walk from Lin Heung Tea House, cutting through Peel Street to get to Gage Street.<br \/>\nApparently many celebrities (eg. I bought them in order to get this limited edition <strong>X-Large x Coca Cola<\/strong> towel that comes in a can container! As can be seen on the top left of the picture.)<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/cycliclapse.com\/speak\/ving\/files\/2013\/07\/IMG-20130703-WA025.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cycliclapse.com\/speak\/ving\/files\/2013\/07\/IMG-20130703-WA025.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"478\" \/><\/a>Hong Kong 7-11 outlets were having this &#8216;promotion&#8217;, whereby you collect stamps as you spend, in order to exchange for Toy Story&#8217;s or Monsters Inc.&#8217;s toys.
