.Lady.M.Round.2.

Within a week, I was back at Lady M on my actual birthday for late lunch with another 2 of my girlfriends. This time round I wanted to try out their cooked food apart from just the desserts.

We ordered a soup to kickstart our meal. What better choice than Mushroom Soup with White Truffle Oil?? I love that it came with a half-cooked egg in it, the 1st time I tried mushroom soup this way.
Heavenly!

Chicken & Pine Nuts Pasta Salad was up next. Kinda normal tasting, and the portion was a ‘lil small.

My girlfriend ordered the Lady’s Benedict with Smoked Salmon. We were engrossed in catching up on life so I ended up didn’t get to try it. But seeing from how she happily finished the plate clean, I supposed it must have been yummylicious.
It looked like my kind of food too ‘cos it didn’t come with poached eggs, though I know most egg benedicts usually come with it. I just don’t like poached eggs haha, so I’ll actually give this a try next time.

As we were trying to save some stomach space for our japanese buffet dinner later on, hence I ordered a Smoked Salmon & Avocado Panini with Chips. I was looking forward to slices of smoked salmon in between avocado slices, but ended up it was just a thin avocado spread underneath my smoked salmon. Truth be told, I was a ‘lil disappointed ‘cos I’d hoped for a stronger avocado taste had the sandwich come with them in slices. Other than that, it was still kinda yummy to munch on.

Of ‘cos, we couldn’t give the cakes a miss. Hence we ordered 2 different ones to share among the 3 of us.

1. Checkers
Checkered vanilla and chocolate sponge cake covered by a silky dark chocolate ganache.
Light and tasty!

2. Gâteau Nuage
Cinnamon-kissed graham cracker crust with a whipped cheesecake filling, topped with a thin layer of sweetened sour cream.
For those who love cheesecake! I like that the graham cracker crust has cinnamon in it.

Till next time! *flying kisses*

.Birthday.Eve.Lunch.at.TCC.

Nowadays, I patronise TCC only during birthday month, where I get to use member birthday discounts of 50% & 30%.
Mainly because I feel that TCC’s been getting more and more expensive, yet their food quality and taste hasn’t been as good as before. Hence, more worth when there’s a higher rate of discount applicable to my meal.

Having not been to TCC for quite a long while, I realised that they decreased their pasta options further again, and added more snack options to the menu.
So me and Iing decided to try out quite a number of snacks for lunch!

1. P. O. P.: Potatoes. Olives. Pepper.
Chilled. In mustard vinaigrette.
Kinda refreshing at 1st couple of mouths. But better for sharing, as you might feel a ‘lil gelat if too much of it.

2. The ‘C’ Wings
In Hot Tequila Lime sauce.
These werefinger-licking good! 2 portions for me alone, please!
image

3. Beef Steak
Medium well.
‘Lil too chewy.
image

4. Flamenco Omelette
Eggs + Potatoes. In tomato base sauce.
So normal, it’s kinda not worth the S$10++ you’ll need to pay for it.
image

5. Bello Fries.
Portobello mushroom fries. With white truffle oil drizzled on them.
These were so delish! The only side dish on par with the wings amongst all.

Wefie!

6. Choco Mousse
Peppermint chocolate mousse ensconced in smooth chocolate ganache.
Not bad! I kinda fancy its maleficent-esque appearance.

Half-satisfied meal before catching Mockingjay.
