.recycling.for.1st.trimester.of.2014.

Following my previous post on a tabulation of what Cycliclapse recycled in the last couple of months of 2013, we are even more motivated and decided to do up another tabulation for the 1st trimester of 2014.

WARNING: Rather long post ahead, but with many images to enjoy too.

This year, Team @ Cycliclapse is still diligently collecting and sending recyclable stuff to “Cash For Trash” on alternate, if not every, Sundays.
For the recent couple of weeks, we were caught up with work stuff and other commitments, so we weren’t able to drop the items off but yet still collecting them.
Hence they have since accumulated to a REALLY HUGE pile as compared to all our previous ones, consisting of countless aluminium cans / plastic bottles / newspapers, plus some other random pieces of old clothes and metal. 2014-04-26-17-07-53_deco[1]Looking at the huge pile, an idea suddenly struck us.
“Let’s make a statement piece that can go viral, before sending them all for recycling.”
And so we started on our planning + execution process…….
(We hope one day this cover of TIME can become real!) IMG-20140414-WA0007[1]After sketching some designs for the dress which we planned on making, it’s down to doing up the real thing in a week’s time. 2014-04-26-17-21-54_deco[1]An old bra was found in the pile of old clothes, so we decided to modify it to be the top part of the dress. 2014-04-26-17-25-25_deco[1]Every single can tab was being hand-sewn onto the bra. 2014-04-26-17-30-20_deco[1]This pile of newspapers (and more) made up the bulk of the lower part of the dress. 2014-04-26-17-33-41_deco[1]Big bag of aluminium cans to make up the train of the dress! 2014-04-26-17-39-27_deco[1]Weaving using magazine papers (to cover a HP laptop box) for… 2014-04-26-17-41-28_deco[1]…my Bottega-cum-Chanel inspired oversized clutch! TADAH!!! 2014-04-26-18-21-18_deco[1]2014-04-26-18-26-34_deco[1]All the hard work has been paid off!
We are more than happy with the final result of the whole outfit!!
Thanks lots to our dear model too for wearing our creation!!!

BONJOUR!!!
Welcome to the 8th, as well as last episode of the Building Series in Mad Season 1!!! *SOBX*

To end this series with a bang, Ving gonna build a big model structure and bring France to you!!!
Yesss the Eiffel Tower….!!!
This is actually easier to fix up as compared to the Crystal Skull 3D Puzzle which I attempted in the previous episode.
Basically, you just need to follow the instructions (or rather, matching numbers) provided in a booklet which comes with the pack.
Punch out the pieces and start fixing them together!
Base of the tower…
Middle part of the tower!
Now the top part of the tower!!!
T A D A H H H ! ! ! ! !
Some Bearbrick guys are excited to climb onto the Eiffel Tower!!!
I’m loving the presence of it in my room!!!
It’s a rather tall model, so you’ll require some space for it if for display purpose.

With this, Ving hereby concludes the end of Building Series in Mad Season 1!!!
A million thanks to everyone who had supported this series!!!
Hope you’d enjoyed all the episodes as much as I had while coming up with the posts!!!

Do stay tuned to the last episode of the Beauty Series which will be out on Wednesday!!!
Thank you!!!! *hugs Eiffel Tower*

Welcome back, and to the 7th Episode of Building Series in Mad Season 1~~~
Have you built something using your own hands lately~?~?~?~

For today~~~
Ving recently bought this 3D Crystal Skull Jigsaw Puzzle to try out~~~
1st thought: I’m sure it’s not gonna be that difficult, since there are only 49 pieces for this puzzle.
Here’s Adios with the Skull that’s waiting to be fixed up.
I didn’t even have the chance to finish saying “Chicken feet!”, to be proven that my initial thought had been so wrong.
Adios ‘supervising’ me~~~
After a much longer time than what I’d initially expected I’d have taken to finish fixing it, I managed to get the whole thingy out~~~~~~~~~ *shagged out face*
T~A~D~A~H~H~H~~~
Here’s another picture which Adios took with The Skull.
Verdict:
Everyone should still go buy and give it a try~!~!~
It’s kinda like a stimulus for the brain ha~ha~ha~
Rather fun and challenging~~~

Do stay tuned for the 7th Episode of Beauty Series which will be out on Wednesday~~~
Kindly support us~~~~~ Thank you~~~~~~ *caresses a skull with an evil look*

Ving tried out this Blueberry Cheesecake mix from Betty Crocker, which is easily available in all supermarkets.

1st Step:
Pour out the biscuit mix for the base of the Cheesecake, and add 90g of Butter in to mix them together evenly.

2nd Step:
Press the biscuit mix in the bottom part of the container to form the base for the Cheesecake.
Then place it in the fridge to be chilled while you carry out the next step.
3rd Step:
Pour out the mix for the top cream part of the Cheesecake, and whisk it evenly with 400ml of Milk.
4th Step:
Retrieve the Cheesecake base from the fridge, and smear on the top cream.
5th Step:
Chill the Cheesecake in the fridge for 2 hours.

6th Step:
When 2 hours are up, take the Cheesecake out from the fridge and spread the Blueberry jam evenly on top of it (provided in the pack).
